Equipment Rental

Riverland Outfitters is proud to offer Current Designs Kayaks and Wenonah Canoes, made locally in Winona, MN!

In addition to the canoe or kayak, each rental also includes:
  • Life Jacket - PFD Type III
  • Paddles
  • Basic Safety Equipment - paddle float and bilge pump
  • Car top transport kit (if needed)

Customer Pick-up and Drop-off

Pick-up and Drop-off at our Alma location. 

We are located at 1008 S 2nd Street, Alma, WI.

Included in your rental is a car-top kit for safely transporting kayaks or canoes on a wide variety of vehicles, with or without roof racks.  Please call ahead so we can best serve you.

Delivery & Shuttle

Delivery to you or your paddling location. 

We can bring the boats to you and pick them up when you're finished.  

There are many paddling opportunities in the Mississippi Backwaters that make it easy to leave from and return to the same location. 

Alternately, we can arrange to bring boats to your "put-in" location and pick them up at your destination. 

Please contact us to arrange delivery or shuttle service.  Rates are listed below.

Onsite at Merrick State Park


Riverland Outfitters rents kayaks onsite at Merrick State Park.

Saturdays, 10am to 4pm
Riverland Outfitters will be onsite at Merrick State Park (weather permitting) Saturdays from 10am to 4pm starting Memorial Day weekend and running through Labor Day weekend.  This option involves no transport of the boat by you.  Simply drive up and step-in!

Basic Instruction

New to paddling? 

The staff at Riverland Outfitters is happy to offer basic instruction including:

  • safely getting in and out of your kayak or canoe

  • basic paddling technique

  • proper sitting position

  • basic river navigation and safety information
